What pharmaceutical equipment does XBMS source?
We source across 275+ pharmaceutical equipment categories — tablet presses, fluid bed systems, capsule filling machines, packaging lines, freeze dryers, bioreactors, filtration systems and blenders — both used/refurbished and new from the manufacturer.
Does XBMS verify GMP documentation for sourced equipment?
Yes. We verify GMP documentation including calibration records, CE marking, equipment history and provenance traceability before anything is delivered. We can verify against EU GMP (EudraLex Vol. 4), FDA cGMP, and IQ/OQ/PQ requirements.
Does XBMS run its own auctions?
Yes. Auctions are conducted by XBMS B.V., a Dutch private limited company registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK), which operates the fec-assets.com sales and auction platform. We run timed online auctions and sell as commission agent (commissionair) for the account of the seller, so the seller stays anonymous to the bidding market. The scope covers inspection and cataloguing, removal and transport, insured storage in the Netherlands, marketing, bidding, buyer invoicing and per-lot settlement.
Can XBMS bid at third-party auctions on my behalf?
Yes. We act as buyer’s agent for CDMOs and manufacturers that cannot or prefer not to bid directly. We handle the bidding, the paperwork and the compliance check on anything purchased.
How does XBMS charge?
Equipment procurement works on a 5–8% margin on transaction value. Advisory work — CapEx planning, facility transition — is a fixed fee or retainer. Auction work is a seller commission plus a buyer’s premium, agreed per project in writing. No hidden fees.
Does XBMS support plant closures and facility transitions?
Yes, with direct hands-on experience. We advise on asset realisation — selling equipment lot by lot to maximise value, or finding a buyer for the facility as a whole. For larger transactions we work alongside M&A partners.
